Parallel to this position, I am currently employed by the<br \/>\nFrench government as a research analyst studying the professional integration<br \/>\nof young immigrant women into the workforce in Toulouse, France&#8217;s fourth<br \/>\nlargest city.<br \/>\nPrior to my doctoral studies, I completed a bachelor\u2019s degree in 2013 majoring<br \/>\nin Sociology and French Studies at Wellesley College in Boston, Massachusetts<br \/>\n(USA). Upon graduating, I moved to France to begin working as a civil servant<br \/>\nfor the French government in public administration. Later on in 2017 I earned<br \/>\nmy master\u2019s degree in public policy with a focus in gender equality from the<br \/>\nUniversity of Toulouse Jean Jaur\u00e8s.<br \/>\nMy research interests revolve around social reproduction, spatial segregation,<br \/>\nsystemic discrimination, and how public policy can either work against or<br \/>\nreinforce these concepts for vulnerable populations in cities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am a second year Ph.D. candidate in sociology at the University of Toulouse Jean Jaur\u00e8s (France).
