
Aleksandar Jovanovic is a Serra Hunter Assistant Professor and researcher in the field of transportation engineering and intelligent transport systems at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. His work focuses on the application of artificial intelligence and optimization techniques to traffic operations, with particular interest in traffic signal control, reinforcement learning, large language model-based decision systems, and sustainable urban mobility. He has experience in simulation, data analysis, digital twin development, and the design of advanced control algorithms and strategies for road transportation systems.
