Exploring socio-ecological connectivity in coastal-marine areas by examining internal (coast-sea) and external (hinterland-coast-sea) connectedness via resource use, human impacts and governance.

This research line includes:

a) integrating analysis of coastal ecosystems in Cross-Border Cooperation contexts

b) analyzing coastal-marine ecosystem services, with an emphasis on complexity in ecological functions and value production

c) exploring socio-ecological connectivity of land-coast-sea territories, considering sustainable Blue growth, existing environmental, social economic and political connections and new multi-actor governance models
