She is the Director of the Institute Archives and Special Collections at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Founder of Craft of Archiving, a consultancy for private collections. She is also a faculty member in the Department of Library and Information Science at Indiana University. She has devoted much of her career to fostering a deeper understanding of the archivist’s role, promoting adaptation to new circumstances and innovative collaborations. She serves as Chair of the Membership Committee of the Society of American Archivists and is a member of the ICA. Her research focuses on autoethnography, memory studies, and more recently, banditry studies.
