Head of Records Management, Aalto University, Finland

Susanna Kokkinen, MA, has been Head of Archives and Records Management at Aalto University for over 10 years and has nearly 20 years of experience in archives and records management. Before taking on her current role, she worked as an archivist at the Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences (MAMK), the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, and the University of Art and Design Helsinki.

She is actively involved in various archival associations, including the Finnish Business Archives Association, the Records Management and Archives section of the Nordic Association of University Administrators (NUAS), and the Section on Architectural Records of the International Council on Archives (ICA-SAR).

In addition to managing the Aalto University Archives collections, her team is responsible for guiding the university’s records management, overseeing the infrastructure of related systems (records management system, decision-making and meeting management workflows, digital signature, digital preservation, and asset management system), as well as integrations with other key university systems.
