{"id":384,"date":"2025-01-29T10:33:16","date_gmt":"2025-01-29T08:33:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/jornadas-cau\/conference-venue\/concession-to-the-uab\/"},"modified":"2025-01-31T10:26:32","modified_gmt":"2025-01-31T08:26:32","slug":"concession-to-the-uab","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/jornadas-cau\/en\/conference-venue\/concession-to-the-uab\/","title":{"rendered":"Concession to the UAB"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p>The Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) was granted use of the building in 1969, with the aim of developing various academic activities, thus consolidating the university&#8217;s presence in the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The renovation and rehabilitation of the House, initiated in 1998 and carried out under the direction of the architectural firm Tusquets-D\u00edaz &amp; Asociados, with the ambitious goal of restoring its original form, was completed in October 1999 when it was re-inaugurated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to this, the entire hospital complex, including the House, was declared a Historic Artistic Monument in 1978 and was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.
