Thomas Tufte, co-director of the Center for Communication and Glocal Change (\u00d8recomm), Denmark, and Professor of Media and Communication at the University of Leicester, United Kingdom, on November 15th, under the title “Models of Participatory Communication – case study”, will give a workshop in English about cases of participatory communication as a tool for the promotion of social change.<\/p>\n
Already on November 16th, Luis Miguel Sirumbal, an economist member of the Center for Rights and Development (CEDAL), Peru, will offer a workshop about “Globalization and Sustainable Development” in the morning. Sirumbal has over 30 years of experience in project management, particularly in the field of labor economics and public policy analysis.<\/p>\n
In the afternoon of the 16th, the journalist Arantza Diez will talk about communication and gender equality. The workshop “Treatment of domestic violence in the media”, is promoted by the Institut Catal\u00e0 de les Dones (ICD) and the Consell de l’Audiovisual de Catalunya (CAC) and will be based on the tools and recommendations created by both Institutions.<\/p>\n
A fourth workshop is also planned by the Antirumors Network – BCN Intercultural Action of the Barcelona City Council, with date to be confirmed.<\/p>\n

This cycle of workshops is part of an Education for Development project, and is related to the Fifth International Seminar on Communication, Development and Human Rights: Agenda 2030, which invites all stakeholders to attend the seminar.<\/p>\n
