Ci\u00e8ncies de l&#8217;Antiguitat i de l&#8217;Edat Mitjana<br>08193 Bellaterra-Cerdanyola (Barcelona)<br>Spain<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Alexander Fidora is ICREA Research Professor at the Universitat Aut\u00f2noma de Barcelona and Executive Director of the <a title=\"http:\/\/centresderecerca.uab.cat\/iem\/\" href=\"http:\/\/centresderecerca.uab.cat\/iem\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Institute of Medieval Studies<\/span><\/a>.<br>Born in 1975 in Offenbach (Germany), he studied philosophy at the Uni\u00adversity of Frankfurt and the Universitat Aut\u00f2noma of Barcelona, obtaining his PhD in 2003 at Frankfurt University. He has been a researcher in the Department of Philosophy at Frankfurt University since 1999, where he has been co-director of a research project at the University of Frankfurt, funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemein\u00adschaft. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the <a title=\"blocked::http:\/\/www.siepm.uni-freiburg.de\/\" href=\"http:\/\/www.siepm.uni-freiburg.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">SIEPM<\/span><\/a>&nbsp;and president of the Spanish Society of Medieval Philosophy (<a title=\"blocked::http:\/\/www.unizar.es\/sofime\/\" href=\"http:\/\/www.unizar.es\/sofime\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">SOFIME<\/span><\/a>). His research focuses on intercultural and inter-religious aspects of medieval philosophy (see also the ERC-project \u201cLatin into Hebrew\u201d.
