Where there are many of these, alternate plural nouns with collective nouns such as staff <\/em>(\u2194 employees<\/em>), team <\/em>(\u2194 researchers<\/em>), faculty <\/em>(\u2194 teachers<\/em>), board <\/em>(\u2194 governors, directors<\/em>), class<\/em> or group <\/em>
\n(\u2194 students<\/em>).<\/p>\n

Note that, although singular, these nouns take a plural verb.<\/p>\n
