{"id":787,"date":"2017-11-25T09:51:06","date_gmt":"2017-11-25T17:51:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.quintanalab.org\/?p=787"},"modified":"2017-11-25T09:51:06","modified_gmt":"2017-11-25T17:51:06","slug":"inc-open-doors-day-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/mitochondrial-neuropatology\/2017\/11\/25\/inc-open-doors-day-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"INc-Open Doors Day 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of our <strong>Outreach<\/strong> activities, last week, together with other researchers at Institut de Neuroci\u00e8ncies (<strong>INc<\/strong>), the <strong>QuintanaLab<\/strong> participated in the <strong>INc-Open Doors Day 2017<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>20 high school students<\/strong> aged 15-17 visited our laboratory and learned firsthand what a scientific research laboratory is like and how the research is carried out. We explained them an <strong>overview of our research<\/strong> in <strong>mitochondrial disease<\/strong> and showed some basic practical lessons in<strong> genotyping<\/strong> and <strong>protein electrophoresis<\/strong>. They look really interested (and actually they asked a lot of questions!!).
