Licenciada en Ciencias Qu\u00edmicas y Doctora en Ciencias Qu\u00edmicas por la Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Barcelona (UAB) en 1995 y 2000, respectivamente. Desde 2001 hasta 2003 pudo trabajar como investigadora postdoctoral con una beca de la Fundaci\u00f3n Fulbright en la Universidad de Minnesota bajo la direcci\u00f3n del Dr. Jiali Gao. En 2003 pudo incorporarse al Instituto de Biotecnolog\u00eda I Biomedicina (IBB, UAB) como Investigadora Ram\u00f3n y Cajal hasta 2007 cuando fue contratada como profesora Agregada en el Departamento de Qu\u00edmica. Ese mismo a\u00f1o la ANEP le concedi\u00f3 el premio a trayectoria cient\u00edfica destacada. Finalmente, en 2010 consigui\u00f3 la plaza de profesora titular en la UAB. A lo largo de sus a\u00f1os, como investigadora ha dirigido 5 tesis doctorales y ha publicado 55 trabajos cient\u00edficos en revistas internacionales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right wp-block-paragraph\">Su investigaci\u00f3n fue el inicio de la Qu\u00edmica Te\u00f3rica aplicada a sistemas biol\u00f3gicos en el grupo de investigaci\u00f3n. Fue la primera en describir un modelo QM\/MM por una reacci\u00f3n enzim\u00e1tica en la UAB. Al incorporarse al IBB empez\u00f3 a estudiar reacciones enzim\u00e1ticas complejas reguladoras del metabolismo celular. El estudio se centr\u00f3 en el estudio de prote\u00ednas quinasas con relevancia significativa en muchas enfermedades como la diabetes y el c\u00e1ncer.
