Complet\u00f3 su fase posdoctoral con el grupo del Dr. William H. Miller en el Pitzer Center for Theoretical Chemistry, en la Universidad de California en Berkeley (EE.UU.) entre 1999 y 2002. Durante este per\u00edodo, contribuy\u00f3 al desarrollo de la teor\u00eda cu\u00e1ntica y semicl\u00e1sica de la din\u00e1mica qu\u00edmica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right wp-block-paragraph\">Tras ser investigador Ram\u00f3n y Cajal de 2003 a 2005 y fue nombrado Profesor Agregado en el Departamento de Qu\u00edmica de la Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Barcelona en 2006. Con m\u00e1s de 58 art\u00edculos cient\u00edficos publicados y supervisando 3 tesis doctorales, ha jugado un papel destacado en el avance de la comprensi\u00f3n de los efectos cu\u00e1nticos en sistemas qu\u00edmicos, especialmente en la naturaleza y propiedades de los complejos de metales de transici\u00f3n con dihidr\u00f3geno elongados.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right wp-block-paragraph\">En sus trabajos postdoctorales, contribuy\u00f3 al desarrollo de la teor\u00eda semicl\u00e1sica de la din\u00e1mica qu\u00edmica y se centr\u00f3 en la reactividad en estados excitados electr\u00f3nicamente. Ha sido pionero en el estudio de prote\u00ednas fluorescentes y conmutadores moleculares activados por la luz, con un enfoque particular en la aplicaci\u00f3n de estos procesos en tejido vivo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right wp-block-paragraph\">Su reciente investigaci\u00f3n se ha centrado en los fotointerruptores moleculares basados en el azobenceno, investigando sus posibilidades de aplicaci\u00f3n en terapias fotoactivas y en el control de respuestas biol\u00f3gicas mediante la luz. A trav\u00e9s de su trabajo, ha colaborado con destacados investigadores e instituciones a nivel internacional, ampliando su conocimiento en \u00e1reas clave de la qu\u00edmica te\u00f3rica y
