It also analyses its evolution and the main differences observed over time and in various groups, as well as the effects of the activity rate, employment, wages and income of women on living standards. A third area of research is the relationship between living standards and socio-economic metabolism and the use of natural resources. The group&#8217;s research activity can also be viewed on the <a href=\"https:\/\/portalrecerca.uab.cat\/en\/organisations\/nivells-de-vida-biol%C3%B2gics-i-indicadors-de-desigualtat-espanya-en-\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UAB Research Portal<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Group structure and lines of research<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The group is structured in three teams around three lines of research, which work in close collaboration:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Team 1: Demographic, epidemiological and nutritional transition and biological living standards (<strong>R. Calatayud).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Team 2: Societal and household metabolism, and sustainable use of resources (<strong>J. Ramos<\/strong>, J.L. Mart\u00ednez, M. Rivas).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Team 3: Labour markets, education and gender inequality (<strong>C. Saras\u00faa<\/strong>, M. Llonch, G. Cappelli, A. Toniolo, E.
