\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>I am a theoretical physicist with an international and multidisciplinary research career at the interface between high-energy, atomic, and condensed matter physics. My activity is focused on quantum simulation of many-body physics in atomic systems. My goal is to propose viable experimental schemes to emulate high-energy and condensed matter phenomena (quantum magnetism, topological order, abelian and non-abelian gauge theories, Unruh effect). I have also worked on critical phenomena, stochastic processes, supergravity, and string theory. \u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Current research: Since 2009 I work on quantum simulation, first as Postdoc at the University of Barcelona (UB) with J. I. Latorre (2009-10), then as Research Fellow at ICFO with M. Lewenstein (2011-17), and finally as Senior Postdoc at IQOQI\/University of Innsbruck (UIBK) with P. Zoller (2018). I joined UAB in 2019 and built an independent research line on quantum simulation of gauge theories with Rydberg atoms and Raman-dressed gases, before as a UAB-Talent Researcher (tenure-track position), and since 2023 as Professor Agregat (Associate Professor) and Visiting Professor at ICFO. My research activity is internationally recognized and has led to several high-impact publications (Nature, Nature Photonics, Phys. Rev. X, PRX Quantum, Phys. Rev.
