Dr. Jordi Mompart received his PhD in Physics from the Universitat Aut\u00f2noma de Barcelona (UAB) in 1999 with the Thesis entitled \u201cLasing without inversion\u201d and under the supervision of Prof. Ram\u00f3n Corbal\u00e1n. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Jordi Mompart has been a visiting researcher at several universities and research institutes worldwide: Universit\u00e4t M\u00fcnster, Universit\u00e0 degli Studi Milano, Texas A&M University, Leibnitz Universit\u00e4t Hannover, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, and Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology. After a postdoctoral stay at the Leibniz Universit\u00e4t Hannover, where he worked on the use of cold atoms for quantum information purposes, he became associate professor at the UAB. His research interests range from laser physics and quantum optics to quantum information and artificial intelligence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is author of more than 100 articles, co-editor of the book \u201cApplied Bohmian mechanics: from nanoscale systems to cosmology\u201d, Pan Stanford Publishing 2012 and 2019, and holds three patents. He has supervised 8 PhD thesis. Presently, he is the coordinator of the Physics Doctorate program at the UAB.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
