{"id":760,"date":"2025-04-07T11:06:33","date_gmt":"2025-04-07T09:06:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/personenviromentinteractionlab\/?p=760"},"modified":"2025-07-25T13:21:16","modified_gmt":"2025-07-25T11:21:16","slug":"team-highlights-from-the-2025-sirs-conference-in-chicago","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/personenviromentinteractionlab\/2025\/04\/07\/team-highlights-from-the-2025-sirs-conference-in-chicago\/","title":{"rendered":"Team Highlights from the 2025 SIRS Conference in Chicago"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The <strong>2025 Schizophrenia International Research Society (SIRS) Conference<\/strong> in Chicago was an inspiring and enriching gathering of researchers from around the world, and we\u2019re proud to share that our team was actively involved the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83c\udf0d <strong>Dr. Neus Barrantes Vidal<\/strong>, principal investigator of our group, participated as a <strong>discussant<\/strong> in the workshop <em>\u201cBridging Perspectives: Insights from Women Across Academia and Industry on Schizophrenia.\u201d<\/em>  This session created a vital space for dialogue on the unique challenges, perspectives, and contributions of women in schizophrenia research. Topics such as equity, innovation, and cross-sector collaboration were at the heart of a much-needed and energizing conversation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udc69\u200d\ud83d\udd2c We were also thrilled to see our team\u2019s ongoing research showcased throughout the conference:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udd0a Oral Communication<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u27a1\ufe0f <strong>Dr. Pilar Torrecilla Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong> presented new <strong>longitudinal findings<\/strong> from the <strong>Barcelona Longitudinal Investigation of Schizotypy Study (BLISS)<\/strong>, focusing on predictors of psychosis risk\u2014highlighting the power of long-term, multiwave approaches to understanding vulnerability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udccc Poster Presentations<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Our group contributed several poster presentations, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u27a1\ufe0f A study co-authored by <strong>Dr. Neus Barrantes Vidal<\/strong> and <strong>Thomas R.
