Lara Maestripieri
Lara Maestripieri holds a PhD in Sociology and Social Research, awarded by the University of Trento (2011). She is a “Ramon y Cajal” distinguished researcher at the Department of Political Science and Public Law and IGOP (Institute of Government and Public Policy). She is the principal investigator of OUTIP and NEXT-UP, both projects studying youth transitions and precarity.

Mireia Bolibar
Mireia Bolíbar is an associate professor at the Sociology Department of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). She had previously worked at the University of Bremen, the Pompeu Fabra University and the University of Barcelona.

Daniel Edmiston
Daniel Edmiston joined the Department of Political Science and Public Law in 2023. He is currently principal investigator of the WHOCOUNTS project funded by the European Research Council and affiliated with the Institut de Govern i Polítiques Públiques.

Matilde Cittadini
Matilde Cittadini is a doctoral student at the Institute of Government and Public Policy (IGOP) at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Her research focuses on youth transitions and minimum income schemes, adopting an intersectionality-based approach.

Vincenzo Favara
Vincenzo Favara is a PhD student in the Department of Sociology at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from Luiss Guido Carli University and a master’s degree in Sociology of Sustainability and Analysis of Global Processes from La Sapienza Università di Roma

Violetta Tucci
Violetta Tucci holds a PhD in Sociology and Methodology of Social Research, awarded by the University of Milan (2024). She is a postdoctoral research fellow in WHOCOUNT project at the Department of Political Science and Public Law of the Universitat Autònoma Barcelona (UAB).


Sergio Salas
Sergio Salas has a degree in Sociology and holds a PhD in Public Health from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He has participated in several research projects on how job insecurity, psychosocial risks, and occupational heat impact workers’ mental and physical health. He has extensive experience in fieldwork data collection and has taught courses on quantitative research methods and statistics. In 2023 he was an advisor to the Worker’s Group of the European Economic and Social Committee in the preparation of the “Precarious work and mental health” (SOC/745) opinion. He currently works as a research technician at ISTAS – May 1st Foundation and is an IVU collaborator in the POWAH research group at the UAB.

Uruguay Team

Fabrizio Méndez-Rivero
Fabrizio Méndez-Rivero is a sociologist and holds a Ph.D. in Biomedicine (Pompeu Fabra University). His research focuses on the impact of working and employment conditions on health, using both qualitative and quantitative methods. He has participated in international projects on precarious employment and health, is a lecturer at the Catholic University of Uruguay, accredited in Uruguay’s National Researcher System, and advises PAHO on occupational health and social determinants of health.

Polimi Team

Alessandra Guglielmi
Alessandra Guglielmi is a full professor in Statistics, Department of Mathematics, Politecnico di Milano (Italy). She is a methodological statistician. Her recent work has been dedicated to Bayesian models for measuring the gender gap in access to the labour market and for the mental health of young people and for economic inequalities and boundary detection.

Geneve Team

Mattia Vacchiano
Mattia Vacchiano is a sociologist specializing in labor markets, mental health, life courses, and social inequalities, particularly among young people. He holds a PhD in Sociology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Currently, he is a lecturer in the Department of Sociology at the University of Geneva and a member of the Swiss Centre of Expertise in Life Course Research (LIVES).
