I obtained both my bachelor’s degree in Physics (2010-2014) and Master in Advanced Physics (2014-2015) at Universitat de Barcelona. In my year as a master student, I became interested in the field of cold atom physics. My master thesis, directed by Prof. Artur Polls and Dr. Bruno Juliá-Díaz, was devoted to an exact diagonalization study of small boson-fermion mixtures.
In October 2015 I joined the QAOS group at UAB as a PhD student under the supervision of Dr. Verònica Ahufinger and Dr. Jordi Mompart. In my thesis I plan to investigate transport properties of single ultracold atoms and degenerate quantum gases in ring configurations with a variety of numerical and analytical approaches, focusing on the description of the fundamentals of such systems, the proposal of quantum simulators for condensed matter physics and the design of atomtronics devices.
