Call for Organized Sessions. Proposals are invited for Organized Sessions at Sunbelt XXXVII in Beijing, China, May 30-June 4, 2017. An Organized Session is a set of paper presentations centered on a specific theme, for which participants can submit abstracts from November 20, 2016. Organized sessions consist of at least one 2-hour time slot accommodating 4-6 paper presentations. Please submit any Organized Session proposal between the following dates:

  • Opens October 20, 2016
  • Closes November 20, 2016, at 20:00 EST

Proposals should be emailed to: sunbelt2017@gmail.com. Please include the following required information in your proposal:

  • Contact information for a session organizer (name, institution, email).
  •  A short descriptive title for your session, and a brief description of your session.
  • The names and institutional affiliations of all organizers and the session chair.

After submission, you will receive a confirmation email. Decisions will be communicated to the corresponding organizer before November 20, 2016.

Call for Workshop Proposals. Proposals are invited for Workshops at Sunbelt XXXVII in Beijing, China, May 30-June 4, 2017. Workshops are sessions of half a day (3 hrs) or a full day (2 sessions of 3 hrs) focused on teaching attendees specific methods, software or theories. These workshops are not free and require additional payment upon registration:

  • Half day (3 hour) workshop: $70 USD regular/ $35 USD student
  • Full day (6 hour) workshop: $140 USD regular/ $70 USD students

Please submit Workshop proposals between the following dates:

  • Opens October 20, 2016
  • Closes November 30, 2016, at 20:00 EST

Please include the following required information in your proposal:

  • Contact information of a workshop organizer.
  • A short descriptive title and a brief description of your workshop, including the length of the workshop (3 or 6 hours) and the maximum number of attendees. Please include names and institutional affiliations of all organizers. You may include url to supporting information for inclusion on the conference website.
