Laura Santamaria has taught translation at the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting in the Universitat Aut\u00f2noma de Barcelona since 1985, where she held different management positions and where she is the dean since 2012. Her research is based on issues related to mass media, intertextuality and cultural studies. She has taught specialised translation, specifically subjects on screen and multimedia translation and legal translation. She was as well teacher of translation and developer of materials for on-line masters at the Universitat Aut\u00f2noma de Barcelona and the New York University. She worked as a professional translator for different Catalan publishing houses and for Televisi\u00f3 de Catalunya as a screen translator. She is now member of the Board of \u00d2mnium in Sabadell and was member of the Board of the Associaci\u00f3 d’Escriptors en Llengua Catalana and the European Association for Studies in Screen Translation.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Official Master\u2019s Degree in Translation, Interpreting and Intercultural Studies (UAB) and Honours degree in Geography (University of Leeds, UK). Her research is centred on areas of cultural transfer in translation with a special emphasis on geographical references. She currently combines her teaching and research at the UAB with translation work. Active member of Mediterranean Editors and Translators, based in Barcelona and member of the Society of Authors (London).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

She teaches on the Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Translation and Interpreting at the UAB and in the Official Master\u2019s Degree in Translation, Interpreting and Intercultural Studies. She also teaches on the Master\u2019s Degree MIM: Crossing the Mediterranean toward Investiment and Integration<\/em> (UAB, Universit\u00e9 de Montpellier III, Paul Val\u00e9ry Universit\u00e0 degli Studi di Venezia, Ca’Foscari). Bachelor degree in English Language and Literature, specialized in Culture, Doshisha Joshi University, Japan. She teaches to the degree in Translation and Interpreting and the degree in East Asian Studies (UAB). Serra Hunter Lecturer in English and translation at the Department of Translation & Interpreting of the UAB. PhD in Translation and Intercultural Studies (UAB) on audiovisual translation and accessibility. MA in Translation Studies (University of Leicester). BA in English and French Studies (UAB). He has worked as a Catalan Lecturer at the University of Leeds and as an associate lecturer in the English department of the UAB and the University of Barcelona. He combines his teaching and research activity with freelance work as a translator and audio describer, mostly in the field of the scenic arts. He is part of the SIFT (Seminar of Intersectionality, Feminism and Translation) and a member of the InCom-UAB (UAB). He also collaborates with ACPA (Catalan Association for the Promotion of Accessibility). His research focuses mainly on the meeting point of gender, queer and feminist studies and media accessibility and translation.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Lecturer Professor in Portuguese language and translation at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), Nazir Can is also, in this institution, vice-dean of the Faculty of Translation and Interpretating. PhD in Theory of Literature and Comparative Literature from UAB, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of S\u00e3o Paulo, an associate professor of African Literatures at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, and a visiting professor at the University of Salamanca.
