Studies in Honour of Joan Carbonell Manils<\/em> (Edizioni dell&#8217;Orso, 2026)<\/strong>, edited by Gerard Gonz\u00e1lez Germain and Javier Moralejo Ordax, in the series <em>Studi e testi di epigrafia<\/em> (vol. 5).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The volume pays tribute to <strong>Joan Carbonell Manils<\/strong> on the occasion of his seventieth birthday and his retirement from teaching at the Universitat Aut\u00f2noma de Barcelona, after nearly four decades of academic service. Its thirteen contributions, spanning Roman antiquity, medieval toponymy, Renaissance epigraphy, and antiquarian humanism, reflect the breadth of Carbonell&#8217;s research interests \u2014 and, fittingly, the title chosen for the book: <em>Antiquity and its Afterlife<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The book is a collaboration between our project and that of prof. Moralejo Ordax, also a former pupil of Carbonrell&#8217;s.
