(2025 – Today) I hold a Serra H\u00fanter Lecturer<\/strong> position in the Department of Telecommunication and Systems Engineering at the Universitat Aut\u00f2noma de Barcelona<\/strong>. I am currently a member of the WavesLab research group. My current interests focus on passive technologies for sensing to enable very low-end Internet-of-Things devices, as well as designing intelligent systems combining electronic and radiofrequency components for industrial and healthcare applications. My future research aims to integrate passive communication devices into intelligent systems, enabling scalable, cost-effective solutions for next-generation IoT applications with real societal impact.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

(2022 – 2025) I was working as a Senior Researcher<\/strong> in the Wireless Networks group of the Open University of Catalonia<\/strong>, focusing on the integration of RFID-based sensors into everyday life. My research aims at improving health monitoring using unassisted battery-less and low-cost UHF RFID-based sensors for wearable devices, such as sweat rate monitors. These developments can directly impact public health by enabling affordable and continuous biomarker monitoring.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

(2019 – 2022) Eager to explore further applications for RFID, I joined the Ubiquitous Computing Applications Laboratory (UbiCA Lab) of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra<\/strong> as a Project Researcher<\/strong>. Here, I gained knowledge in robotics, improved my programming and hardware-software integration skills, and applied artificial intelligence (AI) methods. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

(2018 – 2019) I embarked on a postdoctoral stay at the Esisar research center of the Grenoble-INP<\/strong>, working in the ScattererID project (ERC consolidator grant), programming radiofrequency measurement systems, testing novel manufacturing methodologies for chipless RFID tags, and designing algorithms to program CBRAM cells to variable resistance values. \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

(2015 and 2016) I undertook a research stay at the Pervasive Electromagnetics Lab<\/strong>, an internationally recognized team specializing in RFID technology. I was invited to work on a research project at Universit\u00e0 degli studi di Roma Tor Vergata<\/strong>, in collaboration with the Italian Agency for New Technologies (ENEA)<\/strong>. In this ambitious project, I designed and implemented a wireless temperature monitoring system for a high-frequency cyclotron (CARM) used for plasma heating.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

(2013 – 2018) I joined the Microwave Antennas and Systems Group at the Universitat Aut\u00f2noma de Barcelona<\/strong> as a predoctoral researcher, where I pursued both Master’s and Doctoral studies. In this period, I investigated radio frequency identification (RFID) technologies for wearable and on metal applications. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
