Sharmin Sultana:
I’m thrilled to share that I had the honor of attending the 1st International Meeting on RNA & RNases, held on July 3–4, 2025, at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona de Barcelona (UAB) in beautiful Barcelona, Spain
- It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with a vibrant community of scientists exploring the many facets of RNA biology—ranging from fundamental mechanisms to innovative RNA-based applications. The sessions were both intellectually stimulating and deeply inspiring.
I’m incredibly grateful and humbled to have received 1st Prize for Poster Presentation for my work. Presenting our research on miRNA profiling in the context of hepatoprotection and engaging with experts from across the globe was truly an unforgettable experience. - A heartfelt thank you to the organizers for curating such a high-quality scientific program and for fostering such a welcoming and collaborative environment. And sincere thanks to everyone who stopped by my poster and contributed with thoughtful feedback and discussion!
- Looking forward to future collaborations and continued exploration in the exciting world of RNA.

I’m glad to share that I had the opportunity to attend the 1st International Meeting on RNA & RNases at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, where I presented part of my PhD work:
- “Use of Human RNases as Adjuvants to Combat Colistin Resistance in 𝐴𝑐𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑡𝑜𝑏𝑎𝑐𝑡𝑒𝑟 𝑏𝑎𝑢𝑚𝑎𝑛𝑛𝑖𝑖”.
- It was a great experience to present my research and learn from renowned scientists such as Prof. Ronald T. Raines, Dr. Douglas Laurents, Dr. Giovanni Gotte, Dr. Klaus T. Preissner, and Dr. Brian Becknell among others.
- Thanks to Prof. Ester Boix, Dr. Jiarui Li, and Dr. Guillem Prats for organizing this inspiring event, and to everyone who made it possible. 🧬
