class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Area of the concession<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>We carried out a systematic survey of the whole area following two complementary methods: in the easternmost part of the concession, that is to say, that closest to the Saqqara monuments, a thorough foot tracking of the terrain has been made, while in the central and western part of the concession, farthest from cultivation and therefore less susceptible to contain archaeological remains, we have proceeded more selectively, according to what can be seen from Google Earth photographs and according to the field experience of the Egyptian co-director of the Mission, Dr Mohammed Youssef.\u00a0The most important result of this survey has been the discovery of a previously unknown site that has turned out to be a small royal cultic complex from the New Kingdom, specifically from the middle of the 18<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Dynasty (see\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/seams\/en\/campana-2022\/\">Season 2022<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 cultic complex of the New Kingdom documented during the survey, and to start the topographical surveying of the former and its adjacent area in order to produce a complete topographical map of the
