Regarding the first of these issues, we will study the possibility of combining our own models -that is, those directly related to the translation issue- with others coming from other disciplines, such as literary history.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, some historiographical proposals that have had an impact on the history of translation will be presented, such as the notion of \u201clong duration\u201d, microhistory, global history or comparative history. With regard to the second question, arguments will be presented that support the convenience of incorporating space as an intellectual paradigm in Translation Studies, and more particularly in the history of translation, understanding space both literally and metaphorically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CV<\/strong><br><strong>Luis Pegenaute<\/strong>\u00a0is a Full Professor of Translation at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra. He has specialized in the study of literary translation, comparative literature, and the history and theory of translation. He has been principal investigator of several research projects on these subjects, which have resulted in 20 publications in book form, of which he is co-editor. He is co-director of several specialized digital portals, such as the \u201cBiblioteca de traducciones espa\u00f1olas\u201d and \u201cBiblioteca de traducciones hispanoamericanas\u201d, hosted by the Biblioteca Virtual Miguel de Cervantes, or the \u201cPortal de Historia de la Traducci\u00f3n en Espa\u00f1a\u201d. He directs the collection \u201cRelaciones literarias en el \u00e1mbito hisp\u00e1nico\u201d for the Peter Lang publishing house and the journal M\u00e9todos en Traducci\u00f3n e Interpretaci\u00f3n, under the auspices of the Iberian Association of Translation and Interpreting Studies, of which he has been its president.\u00a0 He has held various management positions and currently directs the PhD program in Translation and Language Sciences at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>El tiempo y el espacio en la historia de la traducci\u00f3n (Time and space in the history of translation) This presentation will address two methodological aspects that are fundamental in the historiography of translation, namely the segmentation of time (periodization) and space (cartography).
