{"id":70,"date":"2016-04-05T15:17:11","date_gmt":"2016-04-05T13:17:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/simposi\/getting-uab\/"},"modified":"2026-04-07T11:28:06","modified_gmt":"2026-04-07T09:28:06","slug":"getting-uab","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/simposi\/en\/getting-uab\/","title":{"rendered":"Getting to UAB"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>From the airport,\u00a0<\/strong>you first need to reach Barcelona, where you can take the train to the University (UAB).<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">AIRPORT &#8211; BARCELONA<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are a few commuting options:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An <a class=\"textes\" href=\"https:\/\/aerobusbarcelona.es\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Aerob\u00fas<\/strong><\/a> (7,75 \u20ac) leaves every ten minutes from either terminal and it stops at Pla\u00e7a Espanya, Gran Via &#8211; Borrell, Pla\u00e7a Universitat, and Pla\u00e7a Catalunya.<\/li>\n<li>The train (<a class=\"textes\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aeropuertobarcelona-elprat.com\/ingl\/accesos_aeropuerto_tren4010.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Renfe<\/strong><\/a>) from Terminal 2 to Sants Station.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmb.cat\/en\/barcelona\/metro\/-\/lineametro\/L9S\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Metro L9 &#8211; Sud<\/strong><\/a> (towards &#8216;Zona Universit\u00e0ria&#8217;) and transfer to Line 1 in Torrassa station (towards &#8216;Fondo&#8217;) to get to Pla\u00e7a Catalunya.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>BARCELONA &#8211; UNIVERSITAT AUT\u00d2NOMA DE BARCELONA<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>From Barcelona, take<strong> Line S2 <\/strong>of<strong> Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC)<\/strong>, and get off at \u2018Universitat Aut\u00f2noma\u2019. The journey takes around 35 minutes, and trains depart every 10 minutes, approximately. In Barcelona, you will find Line S2 &#8211; FGC stops in Pla\u00e7a Catalunya, Proven\u00e7a, Gr\u00e0cia, Sant Gervasi, Muntaner, La Bonanova, Les Tres Torres, and Sarri\u00e0. Please check timetables, maps, and station information on the FGC <a class=\"textes\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fgc.cat\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>website<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If you arrive in the city by train at Sants Station, you can take subway Line 5 to Proven\u00e7a and connect to FGC.<\/p>\n<p>At the \u2018Universitat Aut\u00f3noma\u2019 stop, exit at the top left of the platform. Cross the bridge. You will find a winding uphill path that leads to the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting.<\/p>\n<p>Another option is\u00a0<strong>Renfe<\/strong> (commuter trains). Take Line R7 to \u2018Cerdanyola Universitat\u2019 station. This is convenient if you are close to Sant Andreu Arenal train station or Fabra i Puig subway station. The journey takes about 20 minutes, with trains departing every 30 minutes. From there, you can take a free shuttle service that connects the station with different buildings across campus. L1 buses stop near the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting (FTI). Ask the driver for your stop.<\/p>\n<p><strong>By car,\u00a0<\/strong>the trip takes approximately 25 minutes from Barcelona.
