Breu presentació:

Throughout my professional career I have taught a large number of courses on structural geology, geological mapping and brittle deformation at all levels from undergraduate to PhD. My research activities focus on structural geology and tectonics. I did early research on the structure and metamorfism of the Variscan Iberian Massif, as well as structural and paleomagnetic studies on the evolution of the Cantabrian Arc.

My interest in fault zones in thrusts led me to undertake studies on fault rocks in the Variscan chain of the NW of Spain, in the Pyrenees and in the Appalachians.

I later focused my interest to the Atlas System of Morocco where I currently develop my research activity on the dynamic interactions between tectonics and Earth surface processes, integrating structural analysis in the field and at the laboratory with TCN geochronology. I also carry out research on landscape evolution, active tectonics and the kinematics of diapiric structures.
