{"id":243,"date":"2024-02-21T13:36:21","date_gmt":"2024-02-21T11:36:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/therCNS\/?page_id=243"},"modified":"2024-03-11T18:35:35","modified_gmt":"2024-03-11T16:35:35","slug":"linea-3-m","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/therCNS\/linea-3-m\/","title":{"rendered":"Design, generation and production of AAV and adenovirus vectors"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>The research group has <strong>large experience in the design, development, generation, production, and characterization of AAV and adenovirus vectors at preclinical level<\/strong>, demonstrated by a significant number of scientific articles in gene therapy, granted projects, patents and  in the creation of 2 spin-off companies in gene therapy. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>With 30 years of experience in AAV and adenovirus vectors, our research group has the capacity to generate a wide range of different viral vectors, a proven track record in both preclinical and clinical studies, as well as an active research and development lines for procedure optimization and construction of AAV vector libraries. As a result, our group is one of the only 6 gene therapy groups participating in the Network of Excellence on Advanced Therapies (RICORS-TERAV) financed by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-verd-tropic-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-58e76a255b1eb64160979461c6c73dd6\">Vector Production Unit -UPV-<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>The technological advances on gene therapy vectors generated and\/or set up by the research group are implemented into the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.viralvector.eu\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.viralvector.eu\/\">UPV<\/a><\/strong>, a technological Platform created by our research group, which is specialized in the cloning, production and purification of adenovirus and adeno-associated virus (AAV) serotypes for public institutions and private companies all over the world (more than 2000 batches in the last years).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"842\" height=\"836\" src=\"https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/therCNS\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/458\/2024\/03\/Captura-de-pantalla-2024-03-11-a-las-9.49.48.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-950\" srcset=\"https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/therCNS\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/458\/2024\/03\/Captura-de-pantalla-2024-03-11-a-las-9.49.48.png 842w, https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/therCNS\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/458\/2024\/03\/Captura-de-pantalla-2024-03-11-a-las-9.49.48-300x298.png 300w, https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/therCNS\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/458\/2024\/03\/Captura-de-pantalla-2024-03-11-a-las-9.49.48-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/therCNS\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/458\/2024\/03\/Captura-de-pantalla-2024-03-11-a-las-9.49.48-768x763.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 842px) 100vw, 842px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>In addition to Laboratories NSB1 and NSB2, our research group has a Biosafety Level 3 laboratory, allowing work with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. This has enabled collaborations and contracts for projects involving the manipulation of SARS-CoV-2 and the development of various COVID-19-related products such as diagnostic kits, vaccines, and disinfection protocols.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>To highlight that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.viralvector.eu\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.viralvector.eu\/\">UPV<\/a> has a quality assurance system compliant with ISO 9001:2015 requirements since August 23, 2018.
