With the incorporation of 11 new doctoral researchers, the TOUCH programme continues to consolidate its mission of training the next generation of experts in mental health through an intersectoral and transdisciplinary framework. This second cohort further strengthens the programme’s international dimension and reinforces its commitment to fostering innovative, collaborative, and socially impactful research across academic and non-academic sectors.

The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) has officially welcomed the second cohort of PhD candidates to the TOUCH programme. This new intake comprises 11 exceptional doctoral researchers, whose diverse academic backgrounds and cultural experiences will further strengthen the programme’s international, interdisciplinary and intersectoral nature.

Over the coming years, the new fellows will conduct their research in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment, supported by cutting-edge facilities and close collaboration between academic and non-academic sectors.

Alongside their research, they will participate in a comprehensive training programme comprising specialised workshops, hands-on training sessions, and thematic retreats. This structured training is designed to promote scientific excellence and equip researchers with the transferable skills essential for their long-term professional development.
