I am a medical doctor from the University of Sassari with a dual Master’s degree in Neuroscience obtained through the Neurasmus programme (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin). My previous research focused on MRI studies of perivascular space enlargement in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), a meta-analysis of graph-theory metrics in ASD, and spectral Dynamic Causal Modelling to investigate circadian rhythm effects on brain connectivity.

Within the TOUCH programme, I will work on the project Integrative Omics and Neuroimaging in Treatment-Resistant Depression: An Artificial Intelligence-Driven Approach at the Institut de Recerca Sant Pau (supervised by Marta Cano and Eva Armengol) combining neuroimaging and -omics data through AI methods to identify predictive biomarkers of treatment response in depression. The work involves studying the neurobiological mechanisms of novel interventions, including psilocybin and ketamine therapies.
