I am an interdisciplinary researcher, bridging psychology, genomics, and reproductive medicine. I obtained my Bachelor’s in Psychology at Erasmus University Rotterdam, specialising in clinical psychology and genetic influences on behaviour. I completed my Research Master’s degree in Genomics in Society at Erasmus University Medical Center Rotterdam, where I investigated the implementation of non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) for recurrent pregnancy loss. I then completed a second Master’s in Human Assisted Reproductive Technologies at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, where I conducted research at Eugin Clinic on the impact of biopsy timing and preimplantation genetic testing results.
For my PhD at Vall d’Hebron Research Institute (VHIR), I focus on understanding the intergenerational transmission of psychopathology through genetic, nature, genetic nurture, and socioeconomic mechanisms. Using family-based genomic data, I aim to investigate how parental genetic risk for psychiatric disorders is transmitted to offspring.
