My appreciation for education has been further shaped by my time in the classroom, assisting refugees with English at university and spending two years promoting international development at high schools in Rural Japan. As both an advocate and practitioner of interdisciplinarity, I later took an MA in European Studies and an MSc in Environmental Science.
