Our work is prescriptive, and seeks to put forward a rationalised terminology for Tibetan Buddhism in Spanish and Catalan. It is also descriptive in that it indicates synonyms gathered from publications in Spanish and Catalan, as well as the most widely used terms in <strong>French<\/strong> and <strong>English<\/strong>, and the <strong>Sanskrit <\/strong>term when available.<\/p>\n<table border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td colspan=\"2\" valign=\"top\">An entry consists of:<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"34\">\n<div align=\"right\">&#8211;<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<td width=\"962\">the term(s) in Tibetan associated with a\u00a0 specific concept \u2013 in the Tibetan alphabet and in Wylie transliteration \u2013 along with a simplified <strong>phonetic transcription<\/strong> and a <strong>lexical translation<\/strong>;<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\">\n<div align=\"right\">&#8211;<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<td>the term(s) in Spanish accompanied by a <strong>definition<\/strong> and optionally a <strong>note<\/strong>, and in some cases a <strong>definition in context<\/strong> along with its <strong>source<\/strong>, the <strong>hypernym<\/strong>, the <strong>hyponyms<\/strong>, the <strong>related terms<\/strong>, the <strong>translation technique<\/strong> that was applied, and a <strong>usage note<\/strong>;<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\">\n<div align=\"right\">&#8211;<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<td>the term(s) in Catalan, French, English and Sanskrit \u2013 in Romanised transliteration, accompanied by a lexical translation.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/webs.uab.cat\/trafil\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/402\/2016\/11\/entry_structure.pdf\">Entry structure<\/a> (in PDF)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In this database, each record is associated with a single concept.
