On Friday, 14 November 2025, students of Land and Landscape Planning and Protection from the Department of Agriculture, Food and Environment at the University of Catania walked through the landscapes of Ragusa, accompanied by professors Giusy Pappalardo and Maria Grazia Leonardi. Joining them was Giuseppe Occhipinti, in his dual role as resident and member of our international research group WRENCH. The aim of the walk was to understand local residents’ perceptions of the relationship between heritage and climate change, and to explore both the potential and the challenges of the places they encountered. The students will contribute to the co‑production of the Ragusa People’s Plan, a process that began last May with our first workshop in Sicily. Stay tuned!
