Research interest

Our current research interest are grouped in four different topics: i) exploring new reactivities based on the olefin metathesis reaction; ii) Analyzing how fine structural tuning influences the photocatalytic activity of covalent organic framework (COF) materials in sustainably rellevant processes; iii) Defining the role of caping ligands and material doping on the catalytic activity of metal and metal oxide materials in water electrolysis and iv) stablishing basic principles controlling electrocatalytic processes for the synthesis of sustainable chemicals. These four research lines are developed in close collaboration with experimental groups including K. V. Bukhryakov (FIU); S. T. Diver (SUNY at Buffalo) and M. P. Conley and R. R. Schrock (UC Riverside) in the field of metathesis, R. Mas-Ballesté (UAM) and C. Gimbert (UAB) in the field of photocatalysis and the UAB groups of SeloxCat (X. Sala-Roman, J. García-Anton) and GEFRO (G. Guirado) in the field of electrocatalysis.
