Understanding AI in Public Health from a feminist view: inequalities, risks and opportunities

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming healthcare, from diagnostics and epidemiological surveillance to personalized treatments and global health interventions. However, these technological advancements come with profound ethical, political, and social challenges. Issues such as algorithmic bias, discrimination, lack of transparency, and technological colonialism raise urgent concerns about equity in healthcare.

This symposium brings together academics, researchers, students, activists, and healthcare professionals to critically examine these challenges through a feminist and interdisciplinary lens. How does AI reinforce existing health inequalities? Can feminist perspectives offer solutions for a more inclusive and just technological future?

If you are working at the intersection of AI, feminism, and public health, we invite you to contribute to this important conversation.
