Oriol Farrés Juste is a professor in the Department of Philosophy at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). He received the Extraordinary Degree Award in Philosophy from UAB. After completing his doctoral thesis on the construction of republican citizenship (2008), he worked as an associate professor at the University of Girona (UdG) and as an English teacher in secondary education (ESO). He has contributed as an opinion columnist for El Punt Avui and Nació Digital. He has translated philosophical works from English into Catalan and Spanish and has published in specialized academic journals. Currently, he serves as the coordinator of the Master’s in Applied Philosophy (UAB-UdG) and is a member of the Humanistic Studies in Science and Technology Group (GEHUCT). He is the author of the book ‘Escrits republicans’ (Enoanda, 2022). His research areas include rhetoric, bioethics, and political philosophy.
