During the last month, IDT researchers had the opportunity to participate in a set of different scientific workshops, congresses and activities closely related with our research derived from INDUX-R project.
Andrés Chomczyk Penedo participated in the congress Computers, Privacy and Data Protection (21-23 may, Brussels), having the opportunity to coordinate a scientific panel. As a world-leading multidisciplinary conference, CPDP offered the cutting edge in legal, regulatory, academic and technological developments in data protection and privacy.
Anna Capellà i Ricart took part in the Data for Policy Congress (12-13 june, The Hague), a premier global forum for the interdisciplinary and cross-sector discussion of the digital revolution transforming policy in government and the public sector. Coauthored with Andrés Chomczyk, she presented the research “Balancing Digitalization, Data Protection, and Sustainability: Reconciling GDPR Principles with EU Green Objectives“, in the panel Data Law & Governance for the Digital and Green Transitions.
Moreover, Dr. Capellà showcased his research at EWAF’25 (30 June-2 July, Eindhoven), with the presentation “Equality insights in the development of fairer high-risk AI systems and the control of its discriminatory impacts“. EWAF’25 was a 3-day interdisciplinary workshop bringing together researchers in algorithmic fairness.
