Moving within local areas, across regions, or even countries is a common occurrence throughout life. Such moving experiences exhibit a wide range of heterogeneity, as some relocations enhance well-being while others perpetuate disadvantages.
The ERC-funded LIFELONGMOVE project aims to deepen our understanding of the significance of spatial mobility in people’s lives and overall societal well-being.
It achieves this by analyzing individuals’ movement experiences from an early age, studying how these experiences contribute to the diversity of mobile life paths and variation in socio-economic, family, and health outcomes.
The project is hosted at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and the Centre d’Estudis Demogràfics.
