Dr Chris Hughes is a Senior Lecturer in Computer Science at the University of Salford, UK. His research is currently focused on media accessibility with a particular interest in VR/XR and the underlying technologies.
As a technologist building new tools for Live Subtitling, Dr Chris Hughes will present some of his latest work into live subtitling within immersive and collaborative environments. In doing this he will discuss the challenges faced whilst trying to develop new tools for consumers who don’t yet know what is possible.
