This year has been a busy one in terms of conferences, congresses, and scientific meetings for our lab. After the Cajal Conference, we packed our bags once again and continued travelling.
Our next stop was EuroMIT in France, one of the leading conferences focused on mitochondrial research. It was a great opportunity to meet colleagues, discuss our work, and learn about the latest advances in the field. Marta gave a talk at the conference, and Aniol presented during the Young Investigators Day, where he showcased our group’s research to fellow early-career researchers. What a fantastic duo of ambassadors!
Also in France, Günter and Armin gave oral presentations at the International Cannabinoid Research Society (ICRS) Congress, held in Dijon (good mustard, even better science!).
Back at the UAB, some of us participated in the Department of Physiology Scientific Meeting. Carla and Günter gave oral presentations, while Sergi Vea received the Best Poster Award. Congrats, Sergi!
A few weeks later, the Catalan Society of Biology (SCB) Annual Meeting was held and Laura gave an excellent talk. Also, once again, Sergi took home the Best Poster Award. Two poster awards in a row! He’s on fire!
Then, the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS) celebrated its biennial Forum in Barcelona, and we were there too, presenting our posters. Surrounded by thousands of researchers from across the globe, it was an inspiring few days filled with scientific discussions, new collaborations, and exciting discoveries. We can’t wait for the next FENS one!
And the conference season is still not over! As we write this post, Albert, Eli, Carla, Mònica, and Cèlia are in Japan (!), representing our lab. We’re sure they’ll come back full of new ideas and sushi. We’re so jealous!
