Earlier this year, Aniol and Marcos attended the II Mitochondrial Winter School, in Bressanone, Italy. It was an intensive program bringing together researchers from across the globe who study mitochondrial diseases.
The school offered a unique chance to interact directly with leading investigators in the field, learning about the latest techniques and research topics. The program was highly interdisciplinary, covering areas such as cell biology, immunology, clinical trials, and genetics, with all participants exploring mitochondrial diseases from complementary perspectives.
In addition to gaining cutting-edge scientific knowledge, Aniol and Marcos enjoyed networking with young researchers and took some time to appreciate the stunning Dolomites mountains (we are very jealous!).
The Winter School was not only an opportunity to learn and exchange ideas, but also a chance to connect with the broader mitochondrial research community, strengthening collaborations that will help advance the field.
Also, Marcos also received the award for the best talk, a recognition of his excellent presentation skills and research! Congraaats!
