At the PPP (Unit 1 of NANBIOSIS-ICTS) we have an ambitious goal. We want to develop a research into a vaccine based on SARS-CoV-2 virus like particles: a unique initiative among the projects that are being developed in our country.
The project brings together the experience of different research groups, centers and scientific-technical services at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, together with the IRTA Animal Health Research Center (CReSA) and the Parc Taulí, Germans Trias, Vall d’Hebron and the Santa Creu i Sant Pau Hospitals.
We need your collaboration to obtain the necessary financing to develop the design and preparation of the vaccine prototype, the validation with human sera and the evaluation of efficacy and safety in animal models.

The PPP allows private industry and public entities to access the latest technology in the field of protein production and characterization and related technologies.
PPP offers its services to researchers and both, public and private entities, by providing our expertise in both R+D+I projects development and those occasional services derived from the use of our facilities.
The PPP aims to provide expertise in the field of proteomics, protein production and crystallography to support, scientifically and technologically, our clients. The specific objectives are:
-Transfer of technology to companies
-Technological and methodologica development
-To obtain high added value products and substances of biotechnological interest
-Training courses on protein production and purification
-Development of biotech products
-Technological advisory service
