The Network of Studies for Organizational Development was created in 2020 as a structure linked to the Center for Research and Studies for Organizational Development of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, a center that works on the analysis and development of organizations in general, and those linked training and education at all levels and areas in particular. The purposes of the CRiEDO are to study, research, teach and any other action and activity related to the organizational development of training organizations. More specifically, the general objective of CRiEDO is to provide a service of the highest quality and social commitment aimed at improvement, innovation and development of organizations dedicated to training, based on processes of reflection and scientific analysis, design and implementation of actions aimed at improvement and institutional assessment and diagnosis processes.

Among the constitutive principles of the CRiEDO, mention is made of the will to generate research and transfer activities not only individually, but also in collaboration with other entities both inside and outside the UAB, both national and international. It is with this premise that REDO is established, with the aim of bringing together and making visible the different organizations, institutions and people that in some way or another are linked to the research and transfer activities of the research center.

Cried was created the same year 2020 as the culmination of the growth in the last years of the research group “Organizational Development Team (EDO)”. This group has more than two decades of history, since its constitution as an ANE group of the UAB in 1999 it has organized different working groups around the existing training demands and research topics that appear as a priority. The EDO Team is constituted as a space for meeting, exchanging and promoting ideas and research in the field of organizations. The EDO group has also been recognized as a consolidated research group (Resolution of the Department of Universities, Research and Information Society) on October 18, 2005, recognition to be renewed in the 2009 call (SGR2009-397), 2014 ( 2014SGR-176) and which it currently maintains as of September 2018 resolution (2017SGR-00318), its central theme has been research on the nature and development of organizations dedicated to training since its constitution.
