The VulneraS project aims to approach vulnerability spaces and environments in parenting contexts by analyzing childrearing strategies in sociocultural vulnerability contexts. We also try to detect specific needs, as well as to evaluate the available (and necessary) resources and formulate action proposals.
In this regard, we have defined 6 areas of action:
- Extended parental support and care: the role of family and extra-family figures located at different levels of enlargement of kinship in the palliation of the weakening effects of welfare.
- Measures for the protection of children: especially calls and reception adoptions, both family and institutional.
- Health: especially with regard to measures to overcome social and cultural vulnerability in the access and use of health services of biomedicine during pregnancy and parenting.
- Education: encourage participation and school promotion to overcome inequalities of a social and economic nature.
- Conceptual and methodological definition of the problem: delimitation of mutual support in general of mutual support in the field of parenting and care and to examine carefully the evolution and synthesis of the use of concepts such as “family”, “vulnerability “,” cure “,” relatedness “,” dependence “,” social fragility “or” precariousness “in disciplinary and public policies from a bio-psycho-social perspective.
- Role of audiovisual media and advertising campaigns in tackling and spreading the problem in the areas indicated.
Within the project we will also address the design of training proposals specifically aimed at professionals working in these fields.
