On 18 March, students from the Vico–Umberto I–Gagliardi School in Ragusa met with Architect Gina Spitale of MUSA Progetti Engineering Cooperative, an organization active in the fields of energy, safety, and professional training. The session introduced students to the principles of integrated design through a range of approaches and technologies, including Building Information Modeling (BIM), energy management, construction‑site safety, and related practices. Thanks to MUSA, students engaged with methodologies that foster a deeper understanding of the heritage–climate change nexus.
On 1 April, the students continued their work on the WRENCH Living Heritage Platform, mapping forms of heritage they perceive as emblematic for reflecting on the effects of climate change around the world. They also discussed the importance of co‑producing a people’s plan for Ragusa, recognizing that such a plan is not merely a technical endeavour but—above all—an exercise in active citizenship.
