• Become a reference for research on media accessibility, focussing especially on minority languages, both at the technical and application level.

  • Group the main agents interested in accessibility research and its application in cross-cutting sectors of communication.

  • Continue with the development of the MAP (Media Accessibility Platform) repository, created within the framework of the European MAP project: Media Accessibility Platform for the European Digital Single Market (COMM/MAD/2016/04).

  • Encourage connectivity and collaboration between researchers, starting with the initial network members (and the research groups they represent) and in the future, other researchers who join the network.

  • Identify needs, strengths, weaknesses and opportunities concerning research on media accessibility, as well as the ethical problems that may arise from research in this field.

  • Help consolidate, as research groups, all nodes, especially young researchers.

  • Consolidate the results of previous investigations of the component groups

  • Facilitate exchange and research stays, for both the IPs of the groups and network researchers. Serve as a bridge for establishing relationships in order to request R + D + i projects, both state and international.

  • Become an interlocutor for standardization agencies, to transfer research results. Become an interlocutor for the broadcast and accessibility industry in Spain.

  • Channel, through MAP, news and advances in media accessibility worldwide, focusing especially on minority languages. To achieve greater public and institutional recognition for this field of work, in line with its relevance and social and economic impact.
