From May 12th to 14th, 2026, the European WRF-Chem Workshop was held in Rijeka, Croatia. The event brought together researchers and users of the regional chemistry-transport model WRF-Chem to explore its wide range of research and operational applications in air quality forecasting and the interactions between meteorology, aerosols, and trace-gas chemistry.

PhD researcher Qing Luo presented her work online, showing how WRF-Chem with the greenhouse gas tracer option can be applied to estimate the influence of urban green spaces on the urban carbon budget.
