The Palau-solità i Plegamans Social and Educational Campus transforms the municipality into a living space of learning and collaboration, where the university, the city council, the social fabric and the private sector work together to address local challenges through real projects, co-creation and shared evaluation, generating applicable solutions and open access educational resources.
The initiative fosters a community for change, promotes social challenges oriented towards inclusion, justice and sustainability, and drives co-creation between different actors (university, administration, citizens and private sector). It also stands out for its contextualized learning, the use of technologies with purpose (such as AI or immersive realities), and applied research, accompanied by transparent evaluation and dissemination.
The project, which began in 2015 with the digitization of local heritage, has been consolidated with conventions and agreements that reinforce collaboration, the production of open resources and community return, becoming a model of social and educational innovation with a direct impact on the territory.
