Andreu Turró (Director) | |
Serra-Hunter fellow at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) Department of Business. Previously, he worked as an assistant professor at the Utrecht University School of Economics (the Netherlands). He received a Ph.D. (International Doctorate in Entrepreneurship and Management -IDEM) from UAB. He has a double degree in Business Administration and Market Research by the UAB and a Master in Marketing Management by ESADE Business School. His research is focused on conditioning factors for corporate entrepreneurship from a quantitative analysis. He published several academic papers in this research field. Maria Noguera (Coordinator) | |
Head and Professor of Tourism and Hospitality Management at Escola FUAB formació at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). She received a Ph.D. (International Doctorate in Entrepreneurship and Management -IDEM) from UAB. Her research areas are focused on entrepreneurship, especifically on those environmental factors affecting female entrepreneurship from the institutional approach. She has various academic papers in this research field. Sebastian Aparicio (Research Fellow) | |
Serra-Hunter fellow at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) Department of Business. Previously, he worked as an assistant professor at Durham University Business School (UK). He received a Ph.D. (International Doctorate in Entrepreneurship and Management -IDEM) from UAB. He has a Bachelor degree in Economics from Universidad de Antioquia (Colombia), a M.Sc. in Economics from Universidad EAFIT (Colombia) and a M.Phil. in Applied Research in Economics & Business -MAREB- from UAB. His research is focused on conditioning factors for entrepreneurial activity and its effects on economic growth and development. He has various academic papers in this research field. Tatiana López (Research Fellow) | |
Assistant professor of the Escola FUAB Formació. She received a Ph.D. (International Doctorate in Entrepreneurship and Management -IDEM) from UAB. She is an Economist and hold a M.Sc. in Administration from EAFIT University (Colombia). Her research focuses on the study of the impact of institutional dimensions on entrepreneurial activity in different contexts, through a quantitative analysis. In addition, she is also interested in the analysis of the influence of education on the entrepreneurial intentions of university students. She has several scientific publications in this field. Jairo Orozco (Research Fellow – Faculty of Economics and Business) | |
Student of the International Doctorate in Entrepreneurship and Management (IDEM) at the UAB. He works as a professor at the Institute for Sustainable Entrepreneurship at EAN University. He is an economist from the University of Cartagena, Master in Innovation from the Technological University of Bolívar and Master in Applied Research in Economics and Business from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. His research focuses on corporate entrepreneurship and its institutional determinants. He has experience in design and execution of business incubation programs and business strategy. David Urbano (Honorary member and Founder) | |
Professor of Entrepreneurship and ICREA-Academia Research Fellow (Department of Business, School of Economics and Business). He is also Associate Director at the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation Research (CREIS) and currently serves on the Board of Directors in the European Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ECSB). His research focuses on the analysis of factors affecting entrepreneurship in different contexts, using institutional economics as a theoretical framework, and combining quantitative and qualitative methodologies. He has several scholarly international publications, participates in various international research projects (e.g. GEM, PSED, GUESSS) and also regularly visits Haas School of Business (University of California, Berkeley).
